WHAT READERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE BOOK:
From www.normanchastain.com I had fully intended to spend yesterday doing chores, but NOOOOO somebody
had to give me an autographed murder mystery that I just HAD to pick up and then COULDN'T put down until "the end."
Good read! ---Kathy Silvie
From www.barnesandnoble.com: RIVETING STORY - A reviewer, A Critical Eye
for New Fiction, November 29, 2005, 5 Stars
What a rush! From the moment the story begins, I was spellbound
by the writing and most importantly... The Characters. It is so refreshing to read good, quality fiction from emerging authors
and this is one of the best new authors I've read all year. A definite hit and I can't wait for the next one!
GAMES

This is an excellent book that does not lag. The suspense just keeps you going. Anyone
should enjoy trying to help catch the killer. Even with my years as a homicide detective I still enjoyed the mystery.

AFTER THE GAME
- NORMAN CHASTAIN, February 19, 2006 -Reviewer: CarolineH (Atlanta, GA USA)-
5 Stars
Excellent book - an easy and fun read. I like Chastain's characters
and was able to create a clear visual of each one. This book is especially fun if you live in or are familiar with Atlanta.
The murders are gruesome and the details leading up to each are a fast paced series of day to day happenings. I will look
for and read more of this author's books. I definately found myself saying outloud, "No - don't go in there !" a
couple of times.

NEW AUTHOR COMES OUT SWINGING! December 22, 2005 - Reviewer: Marley Brant (Georgia) - 5 Stars
Norman Chastain demonstrates
with AFTER THE GAME that he is a terrific new author. AFTER THE GAME features celebrity, America's favorite pastime, well-developed
characters, descriptive locations, suspense, murder and a plot that twists and turns in ways that surprise - what more could
you ask for in a novel? An excellent and entertaining read. --- Marley Brant, Author
From
www.publishamerica.com AFTER THE GAME, 5 Stars - John, Georgia (11/3/2005)
Norman Chastain writes a riveting tale of suspense and thrills in AFTER THE GAME, where an obessive-compulsive
killer's passtime of murder is set against the backdrop of America's passtime, major league baseball. Chastain's characters
pop into view like holographic images bringing the story to life as you read. And what a tale is, the action begins on page
one and doesn't let up throughout the protagonist's unrelenting efforts to avenge the eery death of her sister. Suspense-thrillers
don't get any better than this.
STUPENDOUS! 5 Stars -Gene, Ohio (10/18/2005)
First-time novelist shows real character, timing, and unwavering suspense—qualities that are rare
with today’s break-out authors. Well paced with a protagonist you will fall in love with, Chastain keeps you turning
the pages with a well thoughtout twist in the end. Good Show and look forward to seeing more from this fast rising author!

2006: After the Game reviewed by Lighthouse Literary Reviews. AFTER THE GAME: Rating: Four and One Half Beacons Out
of Five Margaret Gordon is in love and eager to introduce
Prince Charming to her parents and sister. The night before this was to happen; he brutally murdered her and cleaned her apartment.
Unfortunately, she never told her family his name. Her sister, feeling guilty about neglecting her family for her demanding
career as an accountant, is determined to find the killer. All signs point to the volatile Atlanta Braves pitcher, Torch Traynor.
He is obsessively neat in addition to having a violent temper and he was seen with Margaret on the night of her murder. With
the help of a reporter friend, Charlotte Gordon poses as a journalist to find out more about Torch. She is surprised to find
that she likes him and wishes that the evidence did not point so strongly towards him. But Charlotte will find the killer;
at the expense of her career, and maybe her life. This
is a taut and exciting thriller from beginning to end. The author is very adept at painting a picture of the live sports writers
and professional athlete, and then combining them with one of the best mysteries that I have read this year. I could
never figure out the murderer until it was revealed to me in the end. Every time I thought I had it, the author added another
twist in the plot. I was frustrated but hooked throughout the tale. I loved Charlotte and empathized with her need to avenge
her sister’s death. Torch is surprisingly likable for such a volatile man. Sportswriter Pierce Pope and crime writer
Cox are multilayered, well developed characters as are those of the photographer Liz and Torch’s former little league
coach and boyhood friend. This is one story that will keep the reader on the edge of her seat from beginning until end. Reviewed
